Jeff Nicholls
Intern
Jeff Nicholls joined OEB Enterprise in early 2008 after working as Information and Public Outreach Assistant for the Niagara Region. While with the Region, he helped promote water conservation and protection through the ‘WaterSmart Niagara’ program. Jeff is a 2007 graduate of Brock University’s Business Communication program where he sharpened his skill-set in public relations, marketing and media analysis.
While at Brock, Jeff became the first recipient of the Lou Cahill Scholarship in Communications. He served as President of the Communications, Popular Culture and Film Society and co-founded the 24 hour film project, an annual event that featured 11 films and over 200 guests in 2007. He was also a member of the winning team for the 2007 Terry O’Malley Advertising Competition. Jeff has worked as a public relations/marketing assistant for ‘dream’, a non-profit student mentoring foundation, and volunteered for Wellspring Niagara to develop a campus-wide fundraiser.
His dedication, enthusiasm and well-rounded skill-set make him strongly suited to assist a wide variety of projects at OEB Enterprise. He has a keen interest in new media and has thus far contributed to initiatives in media planning and relations, social networking and interactive multimedia.
