David Sieger
Vice President, Communications & Events
David Sieger is a former national broadcast journalist with a strong background in corporate and political communications. An adept writer and logistics specialist, he has extensive experience in the development and execution of a wide range of communications projects.
As Vice President of Communications & Events, Dave oversees a variety of projects, including developing and implementing communications strategies, issues/crisis management, and event planning. Since joining the company in 1995, he has also served as writer/editor of Ontario Legislative Highlights, an acclaimed weekly newsletter providing information and insights about Ontario politics.
Dave's experience encompasses diverse writing, event management and media relations projects for numerous clients, including the National Hockey League, the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Association, Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Thomas Cook travel company.
Prior to joining OEB Enterprise, Dave served as Senior Writer and Deputy Press Secretary for the Ontario Liberal Caucus at Queen's Park, where his responsibilities included writing and producing Legislative and Party publications, speech writing, video production and coordinating media interviews. His day-to-day dealings with the media built on his own experience as a member of the Queen's Park Press Gallery. Dave's career also includes five years as a Senior Associate with Media Concepts Communications Inc, a highly-respected public relations firm.
Dave's writing skills and understanding of the media were honed during a ten-year career as a radio journalist in three provinces, culminating with his appointment as National Correspondent and News Anchor for the CKO Radio network and Newsradio wire service. In 1990, he was nominated for an ACTRA Award as a documentary writer/producer.
He has a degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson Polytechnic University (now Ryerson University) and a Certificate of Public Relations from the Canadian Public Relations Society.
